INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1/2 cup apple-cider vinegar
  • 1 tbs. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Thinly slice red onion and place in a bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the apple-cider vinegar, maple syrup, and sea salt, and bring to a boil.
  3. Pour the brine over the onion slices, stir to mix, and let stand for an hour at room temperature before serving.
