Avo-Cottage Toast

This dish has 14 grams of protein as well as carbohydrates and healthy fats to help you power through your day.
avocado and cottage cheese toast
  • Makes 2 servings
  • Prep Time 5 minutes
  • Cook Time 2 minutes


  • 2 slices bread of choice
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 1 cup organic, full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • ⅛ tsp. red-pepper flakes
  • Flaky salt, to taste


Toast the bread to your desired color and rub each slice with the cut side of the halved garlic cloves
Spread ½ cup of the cottage cheese onto each slice of the bread and lay the sliced avocado on top.
Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds, red-pepper flakes, and flaky salt.
If desired, garnish with lemon juice and fresh herbs, like parsley, dill, or cilantro.
