Life Time continues to grow in communities around North America, bringing a healthy way of life to new cities every year. Anticipation builds as each new location comes to life, and when the club finally opens, members are fired up and ready to experience all that their new club has to offer.

To help you maximize some of your new membership benefits right away, we pulled together a helpful checklist that we suggest completing as first steps now that your club is open.

1. Complete your first week of workouts.

The amount of workout equipment available and movement possibilities at Life Time can make it challenging to know where to start — especially if you’re new to exercise or returning after a hiatus.

To help you get started and explore your options, a Life Time Dynamic Personal Trainer created a weeklong plan balanced with cardio, strength, and recovery that allows you to try a variety of the equipment, classes, and amenities that are available to you at your club.

2. Meet with a Dynamic Personal Trainer.

No matter where you are in your fitness journey, a session with a Dynamic Personal Trainer can help you get or stay on track. As a new Life Time member, you’ll receive a complimentary 50-minute session with one of Life Time’s fitness professionals once the club opens. You’ll discuss your goals, try some new workout moves, and leave with a personalized plan for moving forward. 3. Try a new-to-you class.

Group fitness classes can be a great place to start when looking to create a workout routine you enjoy and will stick with. From yoga and barre to strength training and high-intensity interval training, every class offers unique benefits, provides a like-minded community for support, and follows a pre-planned workout — all you need to do is show up and move through it.

Be sure to check your club’s schedule for class days and times, as offerings vary. You can reserve your spot in class ahead of time in the Life Time app.

4. Spark a new self-care routine.

Making time to care for yourself is essential for your health and well-being, and booking an appointment at the LifeSpa is an opportune way to get a moment for self-care on the calendar. As a new Life Time member, you get $50 off your first service or purchase at the LifeSpa. Treat yourself to any hair, skin, nail, or massage service — or stock up on your favorite self-care products. 5. Ask L•AI•C to be your guide — and fully explore the Life Time app.

The Life Time app brings the best experts, instructors, and programs to you, wherever and whenever you need it. With just a few taps on your phone, you can do everything from your daily workout or a guided meditation to asking L•AI•C, Life Time’s AI companion, for insights on all your health and wellness questions. These are just a few of things you can do in the Life Time app:

Ask L•AI•C: L•AI•C (pronounced “lay-see”) can help with questions related to your health, your workouts, Life Time offerings, and more. The more you use L•AI•C, the more it can learn about you and be better able to tailor its responses to your preferences, interests, and goals.

Take an on-demand class: Each week in the Life Time app, you’ll find new on-demand classes — featuring some of Life Time’s top instructors — aimed at helping you build strength, elevate your cardio, recover, and more.

Live stream a class: Do one of the classes on the live-stream schedule — they’re led by top Life Time instructors from across the nation every day.

Meditate: Meditation can help reduce stress, sharpen focus, and boost your emotional well-being. In the meditation section of the app, find guided meditations to calm or to energize, as well as those intended for sleep, movement, and more.

Build workouts and track progress over time: L•AI•C can help you create workouts that match your goals (they’re informed by a library of workouts designed by Life Time fitness professionals). You can also search for workouts by select coaches or that target specific body parts. For example, if you’re looking for an upper body strength workout, simply search those words — “upper body strength workout” — and several options will appear.

Access programs that can help you reach specific goals: You’ll find a variety of fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle programs in the app. These time-based digital features vary in length and focus, offering something for everyone. Explore nutrition supplements and wellness products on LT Shop: Scroll through the LT Shop section of the app to discover new or popular products or stay stocked on your favorites. LT Shop is the home of LTH nutritionals, a line of supplements designed by top experts, dietitians, and trainers and formulated with pure ingredients and research-backed approaches. You can trust the products you’re finding are effective and held to rigorous quality standards. You can also take advantage of the discounts and reward points you receive as a Life Time member.
