Thai Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Turn this traditional appetizer into your main meal with these quick to assemble, Asian-inspired lettuce wraps.
Ingredients
- 1 tbs. coconut or avocado oil
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- Iceberg lettuce leaves
Sauce
- 4 tbs. coconut aminos
- 2 tbs. sunflower seed butter
- 1 tbs. blackstrap molasses
- 2 tsp. white wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. granulated ginger
- 1 tsp. sea salt
Directions
STEP 1
Heat a medium skillet over low heat and add the coconut or avocado oil. Add the ground turkey and sauté until browned and cooked through, about seven to eight minutes. Add in the shredded carrots.
STEP 2
Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Once the ground turkey mixture is cooked, add it to the bowl with the sauce and mix to combine.
STEP 3
Spoon the mixture into lettuce leaves and serve.
