Arizonians, the ninth Life Time athletic country in your state — Life Time Ocotillo — is arriving in May 2026. This club brings new growth to the southeast valley for the first time in more than 20 years, complementing the neighboring Life Time Gilbert (Arizona’s oldest existing club) and Life Time Tempe.
“The opening of Life Time Ocotillo will enhance and broaden the Life Time network effect for the state,” says Steven Getz, lead general at Life Time Ocotillo. “The club will also be a focal point for the Gilbert community. It’s an honor to help open this space after being a leader at Life Time Tempe and Life Time Biltmore.”
Let’s explore the brand-new 102,000-square-foot Life Time Ocotillo space:
“Life Time Ocotillo is set up beautifully — not just for adults, but for kids as well,” says Getz. “Bring your whole family here and we’ll help everyone on their healthy way of life journey.”
Families can find their footing on the first floor in a full-scale Kids Academy, which is complete with features that include a movement studio, toddler area, infant room, activity studio, kids gym, and outdoor play area.
Parents can leave their kids (ages three months to 11 years) at the Kids Academy while they make use of other areas of the club. Kids can learn, play, and grow here with engaging and enriching age-specific programming and classes. Parents can use up to 2.5 hours of child care per day (included with a Junior Membership).
Another perk of a Junior Membership is unlimited monthly kids and tweens events. Parents can enjoy an evening to themselves — at the club or elsewhere — with regular Parents Night Out and Tween Takeover events, which are always based around fun themes.

Throughout the first floor, you’ll find a variety of high-end amenities and offerings dedicated to helping you feel like your best self — inside and out.
At the LifeCafe, stop in for a nutritious meal or snack, or grab a protein shake to-go after your workout. “You can certainly stay and dine, or you can grab and go,” says Getz. “Either way, it’s fresh and healthy.” You can order through the Life Time app for an expedited experience. There is also an adjacent bar and lounge space where you can meet up with friends, attend events, and connect with like-minded people. Need a quick trim, or perhaps some muscle release? Life Time Ocotillo feature a full-service LifeSpa offering body, skin, hair, and nail treatments.
You can also access the luxurious men’s and women’s locker rooms, each featuring a full hydrotherapy suite experience with a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and cold plunge. Here, you can feel pampered in spaces dedicated to your recovery and relaxation.
For those seeking some low-impact exercise in the water, there are two indoor pools — a lesson pool and a lap pool. Life Time Ocotillo’s indoor pool area features a coed sauna, a unique club amenity.
Heading upstairs, the second floor is full of amenities to help you with your physical wellness. On the expansive workout floor, you’ll find free weights, state-of-the-art cardio and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. It’s easy to build a sustainable fitness routine when everything you need is in one convenient space.

Adjacent to the workout floor, you can take GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit signature group training classes. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit combines sprint-interval training with balance and strength moves. GTX and Ultra Fit operate in a shared space, while Alpha has its own dedicated area.
Also on the second floor are six studio spaces used for Pilates, CTR (Life Time’s newest athletic reformer workout offering), barre, yoga and MB360, cycle, and other unique-to-Life-Time group fitness classes. Life Time Ocotillo also has four indoor pickleball courts with full divider nets and a viewing area. The club plans to offer programming such as Intro to Pickleball classes, open play, a pickleball league, tournaments, and more, according to Getz.
Outside, Life Time Ocotillo is curating elevated outdoor experiences for its members, starting with the Beach Club. Members can relax on the resort-style pool deck, which features an outdoor lap pool and leisure pool with waterslides. Swim laps, take swim lessons, attend an aqua aerobics class, or simply spend time soaking up the sun. There are cabanas, lounge chairs, and outdoor dining areas where you can order healthy eats from the outdoor bistro.
Getz envisions community-centric experiences on the pool deck, with events that are both family- and adults-focused. “All year long, this outdoor pool deck will be dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment, especially in the heat of summer when people need to cool off,” he says. “On the weekends, we plan to also create an adults-only oasis in the lap pool and have adult events.”
Picklers can also play outside at Life Time Ocotillo’s 10 outdoor pickleball courts, which come with tournament-style lighting for nighttime playing.
The club also has six outdoor tennis courts along with tennis programming. The only other Arizona club to offer tennis courts is Life Time Tempe. “We’ll have tennis and pickleball classes led by pros, so you and your kids can get best-in-class instruction,” Getz adds.
