Sausage Lentil Stew

Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 cups lentils
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cups kale, chopped, stems removed
- 2 cups shredded carrots
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 2 cups water
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans fire-roasted tomatoes
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
STEP 1
Brown the ground turkey in a skillet with the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
STEP 2
Add the cooked ground turkey and all remaining ingredients to a slow cooker and cook on high for four hours, or until the lentils are tender.
