Life Time’s 23rd athletic country club in its home state of Minnesota will open in early 2025: Life Time Rosemount. “I’ve lived in the Apple Valley-Rosemount-Lakeville area for 12 out of the past 14 years, so I’m really excited to grand open this club in a community I’m so close to,” says Cooper Craig-Casmer, lead general at the newest Minnesota location. “It feels like a bit of a homecoming in which I get to now serve the community where I spent time raising my stepchildren.”
This Life Time club is a project that was developed in joint efforts with the city of Rosemount. “The city of Rosemount has Irish heritage which is incorporated into their branding as a sense of identity and pride,” says Chase Norton, group manager for Life Time Construction. “For this reason, members will notice a clover logo incorporated at the front entry of the club, which is the same icon the city uses. The city asked for this element to be included to signify the strong partnership between Rosemount and Life Time.”
Life Time Rosemount sits on 12 acres and spans 90,325 square feet of space. Let’s explore what’s inside:
“When you walk into the club, there’s a grand entrance and a large front desk,” says Craig-Casmer. Members will be greeted by the membership concierge team. From there, the next stop is typically the executive locker rooms, which — in addition to complimentary lockers and towels — feature a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room. There is also a cold plunge in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms for those who want to experience cold therapy and its benefits.
Families can drop off their kids ages three months to 11 years at the Kids Academy, which features a movement studio, an art and language studio, a learning lab, and two kids’ gyms. Here, kids can learn, play, and grow with engaging and enriching age-specific programming and classes. Parents can use up to 2.5 hours of child care per day included with a Junior Membership.
Another unique amenity included in a Junior Membership is unlimited monthly kids and tweens events. Parents can enjoy an evening to themselves — at the club or elsewhere — with regular Parents Night Out and Tween Takeover events, which are always based around fun themes. Families can also enroll in School-Break Camps for those days when school is out and the kids still need somewhere to go.
Venture onto the expansive workout floor to find free weights, state-of-the-art cardiovascular- and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching areas. It’s easy to build and stay consistent with a fitness routine when everything you need is available in one convenient space.
Members can advance their fitness in GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit signature group training classes, which also take place on the workout floor. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit combines sprint-interval training with balance and strength efforts.
MB360, a mind-body program that melds meditation and mobility work with functional strength and conditioning exercises, is the fourth option in Life Time’s signature group training class portfolio and is also available to members.
Members seeking a more individualized fitness experience or added guidance and accountability can engage one-on-one with a Dynamic Personal Trainer (at an additional cost). (Learn more: “Achieve Your Fitness Goals With Dynamic Personal Training.”)
For those aiming to incorporate more recovery, stretching, or mobility work into their fitness plans, consider a Dynamic Stretch session: A stretch specialist will take you through a full-body assisted-stretch session (at an additional cost). (Read more: “What Is Dynamic Stretch?”)
Discover your go-to studio class by trying a variety of cycle, yoga, barre, dance, strength, and cardio formats. There are six designated studios: one for indoor cycling, one for Pilates, one for barre, one for yoga, and two for other unique-to-Life-Time group-class formats. Classes are taught by top performers, with options for people of all fitness levels and interests.
Swim in the indoor lap or lesson pool all year, or, when the weather heats up, head outside to the pool deck to enjoy the outdoor lap pool, zero-entry pool, and waterslides. And when hunger strikes, order poolside and enjoy healthy eats from the outdoor bistro.
Ready for a game of pickleball? You’ll find three indoor and four outdoor pickleball courts at Life Time Rosemount. The latter features a lounge area right off the pool deck, making it a prime spot to watch friends and family play pickleball while enjoying the outdoors.
Relax and unwind in the full LifeSpa, which offers body, skin, hair, and nail treatments. Swing by the LifeCafe for a nutritious meal, or simply grab a protein shake on your way out.
Set up shop and work in the complimentary Life Time Work Club Lounge. This is a dedicated coworking space for members to catch up on emails, take a phone call, or pause for a moment before heading on with the rest of their day.
“I’m excited for the members and team members to meet each other at Life Time Rosemount and start building this healthy-living community,” says Craig-Casmer. “Our buildings are beautiful, and they have a lot of cool amenities, but without passionate people inside the building, it’s nowhere near as powerful as it could be. And at Life Time, we hire the best of the best team members.”
