Tucked in the southwest corner of St. Paul, Minn., Life Time Highland Park first opened its doors in 1995 as the fifth Life Time location. Though the space has been updated several times over the years, this 50,700-square-foot club is getting a substantial refresh and expanding to more than 71,000-square feet. It will be ready for members to enjoy in winter 2024.
“Our members are super excited,” says Angie Cameron, lead general at Life Time Highland Park. “It’s a really cool community here in St. Paul, and our members are very loyal to their healthy-way-of-life endeavors.”
Let’s check out the Life Time Highland Park space:
This club is unique in the sense that it’s part of a multi-story, multi-use building complete with a complimentary parking ramp for members. While a few other businesses operate in the Life Time-owned building, the club takes up most of the property — and will occupy even more of it after the remodel and expansion. (Fun fact: Experience Life, Life Time’s whole-life health and fitness magazine, headquarters out of the Life Time Highland Park building as well.)
Upon walking into the remodeled space, members will be greeted by the concierge team before moving on to the locker rooms. Here, they’ll find complimentary daily lockers, showers, and amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and more), and have access to a sauna.

The first floor is getting a major facelift and will feature free weights, a functional training area, weight machines, space for Alpha training classes, and four studios: a cycle studio, a yoga studio, a barre studio, and a studio for all other group fitness classes. “The new Alpha space is going to be beautiful,” says Cameron. “It’s going to be branded with the Alpha logos and overall is going to look and feel really cool. Our athletes are going to love it.”
Heading up to the second floor, which sits on street-level, members will find a brand-new 20,000-square-foot space for taking on their workouts. Filled with natural light thanks to the large windows, this space will house all the state-of-the-art cardio equipment, a strip of turf for performing sprints or sled pushes, a stretching area, two OUTRACE training structures, and an area specifically for GTX programming.

“My favorite change in the entire club is probably the addition of the large windows on the second floor to bring in all that daylight,” says Cameron.
This floor will also feature an LT Recovery zone where members can connect with experts who can provide direction, care, and support for their fitness recovery efforts, and get access to high-tech recovery equipment and services. Options include compression therapy, metabolic testing, recovery treatments, nutrition coaching, and chiropractic services. There will be lockers in this area for members to use as well.

Another significant change at Life Time Highland Park is the addition of a new staircase in a more central location of the club. For members who have checked into the club, this provides a more convenient way to move between the workout spaces.
The second floor will also be home to the LifeSpa, which offers body and massage treatments, and the third floor houses the Pilates studio. “We have the most beautiful Pilates studio,” says Cameron. “It’s for sure a hidden gem in Life Time Highland Park.”
Life Time Highland Park also offers a Kids Academy for families with children. Kids ages three months to 13 years can learn, play, and grow with the engaging and enriching age-specific programming and classes. Parents can use up to 2.5 hours of child care per day, included with a Junior Membership.
