Healthy, Fun, Together: Things to Do at Life Time With Family and Friends

Gather your group — and put those guest passes to use! — at your athletic country club.

Any time you’re able to bring loved ones together — whether that includes your friends, family, or other important people in your community — is sure to be time well spent. Why not make it fulfilling, productive, and fun by choosing to partake in something active together?

If your family or friends are Life Time members, come enjoy the club together. Pursuing healthy habits alongside others not only keeps you accountable, but can also support your progress and make the journey more enjoyable. If they’re not Life Time members, invite them in: As a member, you receive complimentary guest passes each month (see the guest pass policy for more details).

Overwhelmed by all the possibilities? We’ve compiled this list of activities for your group’s consideration. Take your pick!

For Adults

  • Studio Classes. Enjoy the endorphin boost that comes from a group sweat session in a high-energy studio or cycle class. Or, slow down mindfully together in a yoga class. Choose your desired format: “The Ultimate Guide to Life Time Classes.”
  • Workout Floor. Hop on side-by-side cardio machines, spot each other while lifting weights, or team up for a partner workout.
  • Lap Pool. Swimming is a great cross-training option for low-impact exercise. Grab two lanes next to each other and either dive in to swim laps or work your cardio and strength with a pool workout.
  • Relaxation Spaces. Find respite and unwind while enjoying the relaxation and recovery benefits of the steam room, sauna, or whirlpool.

For Kids

  • Kids Studio Classes. Sign the kids up for one of the 30-minute versions of some of the same studio classes adults enjoy, including Warrior Sculpt, Ringside, LifeBarre, SOL yoga, and SHRED. These kid-friendly classes are available for those ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 13.
  • Kids Academy Classes. These sessions are offered daily, with activities like dance, arts and crafts, yoga, sports, tumbling, junior warriors, and martial arts.
  • Kids Events. A themed Parents Night Out event in the calendar every week; twice a month, there are Tween Takeovers. Check out what’s happening on your club’s schedule this month.

For Everyone

  • Open Gym. Split into teams for a pick-up game of basketball, challenge one another to a ball shooting competition (Lightening, anyone?), or play one of these basketball games meant for two or more players.
  • Pickleball and tennis. Pass out the pickleball paddles or tennis racquets and let your competitive spirit come out on the court.
  • Pool Time. Enjoy some indoor or outdoor pool fun during open swim hours. Work on swimming skills, play water games, race down the waterslides, or simply splash around.
  • LifeCafe. Gather around the table for a healthy, nutritious meal when hunger strikes. Adults can choose from a range of entrees, bowls, and salads, while kiddos can nosh on made-for-them eats.
