Dinner, a movie, perhaps drinks with another couple or two — if these are your go-tos for date night, you might be ready to mix things up. And while your athletic country club might not be the first place you think of going for a night out, there are several ways to spend quality time with your partner at Life Time. Consider these ideas for adding some movement, relaxation, and fun into your next date night.

(If you’re a Life Time member with kids, you can take advantage of up to 2.5 hours of child care daily. Every weekend, Life Time also hosts Parents Night Out events in which kids can participate in themed activities while you enjoy yourselves.)

Move Together

1. Attend a studio class. With several formats to choose from, there’s bound to be a class you’ll both enjoy. Enjoy the high-energy party vibes of AMP Cycle, work your glutes in MAXOUT Lower Body, flow through ROOT HATHA yoga, or try any of Life Time’s other signature formats.

2. Reimagine courtship. Duke (or rather, dink) it out on the pickleball court with your significant other in a round of one-on-one pickleball, also known as skinny singles. You could also invite friends to make it a double date.

3. Train as a pair. Make your date a regular occurrence by participating in one of our ongoing signature group training programs. You’ll be part of a larger, health-motivated community and can cheer each other on as push your fitness to new levels.

Relax and Recover Together

4. Zone out. Give your muscles some love with the recovery tools available in the LT Recovery zone of the club. Put on the Normatec compression sleeves or grab a HydroMassage or CryoLounge chair and sit side-by-side while you recuperate.

5. Stretch yourselves. Lean on your partner — literally! — to loosen tight muscles and achieve a deeper stretch. (For ideas, check out “4 Stretches You Can Do With a Partner” or “3 Stretches to Do With a Partner.”)

6. Heat things up. Sink into the whirlpool and enjoy the calming, relaxing effects of the heated water on your muscles. Some club locations also offer coed saunas or coed wet suites complete with hot and cold therapy options.

7. Pamper yourselves. Schedule LifeSpa services close to one another, or prep for date night with a hair style and finish, quick trim, nail polish, or other treatments. You can also book deep relaxation experiences at the LifeSpa with offerings such as CBD massage, hot stone massage, cupping, or a back detox.

Have Fun Together

8. Enjoy a meal. Come in to eat or grab some good-for-you fuel at the LifeCafe before or after you try one of these other activities.

9. Challenge each other. Engage in a little friendly competition, whether swimming laps in the pool, playing a game of one-on-one basketball, or performing reps on the fitness floor. See how you can push yourself while also supporting your partner’s unique healthy-living goals.

Amenities, services, and events vary by club. Visit your club location page for more detail.
