Life Time’s eighth athletic country club in Colorado, Life Time Boulder, opened in late spring 2025. Situated in downtown Boulder within the Twenty Ninth Street mall, this club is nestled in a bustling pocket of the broader Denver metropolitan area.
“Boulder has a large outdoor fitness community, and our opportunity is to be the indoor training ground for athletes of all levels,” says Jarod Cogswell, lead general at Life Time Boulder.
“From our inspirational group fitness programming and team coaching professionals to our state-of-the-art equipment and recovery modalities, we have so many tools for members to engage in indoors that can translate to their outdoor workouts and endurance activities. And in addition to providing great indoor spaces, we also host outdoor groups for members to build camaraderie and a network around their sports, such as biking, hiking, and running clubs that utilize the nearby trails for group workouts.”
Let’s explore the 36,000-square-foot Life Time Boulder space:

The outdoor, six-lane lap pool is open year-round so members can train, no matter the season. With the club located on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, you can actually view Boulder’s iconic rock formations, the Flatirons, from the pool deck.
In the warmer months, members can eat, drink, and socialize poolside at the outdoor bistro while kids enjoy the leisure pool and families relax under the cabanas. Heading indoors? The three-lane lap pool is designed for lap swimmers and lessons, and is used by the Masters Swim and swim teams.

Discover your go-to studio class by trying a variety of cycle, yoga, barre, dance, strength, and cardio formats. There are three designated studios, one dedicated to barre and yoga, one for Pilates (featuring eight reformers), and one for indoor cycling and all other unique-to-Life-Time group-class formats. With options for people of all fitness levels and interests, the classes are taught by local, top performers.

Venture onto the workout floor to find free weights, top-of-the-line cardiovascular- and resistance-training machines, and designated stretching and recovery areas. It’s easy to build and stay consistent with a fitness routine when everything you need is available in one convenient space.

The workout floor is also where GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit signature group training classes take place. GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength work; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; and Ultra Fit combines sprint-interval training with balance and strength efforts.
MB360, the fourth in Life Time’s signature group training class portfolio, is also available to members. This mind-body program melds meditation and mobility work with functional strength and conditioning exercises.
Members who want to advance their fitness experience can engage with a Dynamic Personal Trainer for one-on-one guidance (at an additional cost). (Learn more: “Achieve Your Fitness Goals With Dynamic Personal Training.”)

For those looking to incorporate more stretching, recovery, or mobility work into their routines, consider a Dynamic Stretch session: A stretch specialist will take you through a full-body assisted-stretch session (at an additional cost). (Read more: “What Is Dynamic Stretch?”)
“My goal is for this club to be known as the premier athletic country club in the Boulder area,” says Cogswell. “I want to create the best member experience by providing the best amenities and the best places, people, and programming to serve our members and help them reach their healthy-way-of-life goals.”
The LT Recovery zone offers expert direction, care, and support for members’ recovery needs, along with access to high-tech and effective recovery equipment. Options include Cryolounge, Hydromassage, Normatec compression technology, Hyperice percussion devices, metabolic testing, recovery treatments, and nutrition coaching.

Members can also recover and relax in the coed wet suite equipped with a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and whirlpool.
Swing by the LifeCafe for grab-and-go items including smoothies, coffees, and to-go meals.

Life Time Boulder also has a Kids Academy featuring a multipurpose room where kids can play, as well as a toddler area. Kids ages three months to 11 years can learn, play, and grow with the engaging and enriching age-specific programming and classes. Parents can use up to 2 hours of child care per day, included with a Junior Membership.
“I’m excited to open Life Time Boulder for a variety of reasons, but one of the most important is creating a community for members. Each and every time someone walks through our doors, they will feel a sense of belonging,” says Cogswell.
