From the moment a member walks in the door at Life Time, they are met by passionate and educated team members — whether it’s someone at the front desk, a yoga instructor, personal trainer, Kids Academy leader, or anyone else on the team who’s ready to serve you.

The team at One Wall Street is no exception: They cannot wait to meet their members, hear about their healthy way of life goals, and offer their expertise and support along the journey.

Get to know two of these team members who are excited to see you when the club opens:

How did you get started with Life Time?

This is my first experience working with Life Time, but it’s one that I’m super excited about. After learning the mission statement and seeing the part that mentions creating an experience of “uncompromising quality,” I knew I was in the right place. I strive for that same level of quality in all things I do, and having my place of employment share that same value lets me know great things are in store!

I used to work with young athletes, and my first introduction to Life Time was bringing my athletes to Life Time Sky to work out on the basketball court. I love the energy of the club right when I walk in, and I admire the impeccable cleanliness and level of upkeep as well.

What brought you to Life Time One Wall Street?

It’s always special to be a part of something new. To say you were the first to create energy and set the tone for what’s to come with a new club is very exciting. If I can offer a smile, give a high five, and uplift members, why pass up that experience?

I will be a 5-Star Elite Performer for our signature group classes. I can’t wait to share my passion with every member who walks through the door. I’m excited to not only push people to be better physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

What’s your connection to Life Time’s healthy way of life mission?

A healthy way of life goes beyond just the physical aspect of it, and that’s why Life Time is special. From the time you walk into the club, are greeted by the member concierge team, and inhale the fresh scent that each club has, you’re entering into an environment where you can eat and train healthy, recover correctly, and be in a positive community.

It’s all about having a healthy mind, body, soul, and life. When a member sees me, I hope to always embody that and to be able to uplift each person I encounter. I’m a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn, so to see New York City healthy and moving is so important to me.

My mantra in life is to live everyday on purpose and with purpose, and I plan to bring that energy into everything I do at Life Time. Good vibes are what I’m all about, and once you take my class, hopefully you’ll walk out feeling worked and empowered.

I can’t wait to meet all the members and begin creating some lasting memories. If you see me in the club, please don’t hesitate to say hello!

How did you get started with Life Time?

I actually moved across the country to be a part of Life Time. I was living in Seattle, and a friend of mine told me about this new club opening in Garden City in New York — I knew I had to be a part of it. I started working with Life Time in 2015 as a kids manager at that location.

Life Time has been the most supportive community. Recently, I had ACL surgery, and without this community, my recovery wouldn’t be what it is. I’m lucky enough to have my physical therapist, as well as my trainer, at work. Everyone cares about me and my recovery, and they give me the confidence to know that when I return to playing sports I’ll be more than ready.

What brought you to Life Time One Wall Street?

I knew I always wanted to work in New York City, and the opening of this athletic country club was a great opportunity for that. Plus, I’m not a big fan of driving, so I love the fact that I can now commute to work by subway. In addition, this will be the first Kids Academy in Manhattan, which is amazing.

I feel so connected to the Kids Academy and building relationships with kids and parents; I want to be part of the journey in the best city in the world.

What’s your connection to Life Time’s healthy way of life mission?

I sometimes think that I was an athlete as soon as I could walk. I played every sport imaginable and could never sit still. To this day, I still play softball, flag football, and anything my friends want to get into. Movement is my therapy, and now that I’m older, being healthy allows me to continue doing what I love.

Childhood obesity is an issue in this country, and I changed my career path to be a part of the change and lead programs that help fight it. My biggest passion is being the driving force away from obesity and making time to play with kids. A child doesn’t need to be an athlete to love to move, but they do need the right inspiration.
