Life Time opened its first club in Indiana — Life Time Castle Creek in Indianapolis — in 1999, just seven years after the healthy-way-of-life company was founded. The opening of Life Time Fishers followed in 2011.
More than a decade later, the spotlight is once again on the Indianapolis area, with Life Time Fishers recently getting a top-to-bottom renovation and the fall 2026 opening of the brand-new Life Time Westfield.
Since that first club opened, the Life Time brand has evolved significantly, and Indianapolis-area residents can now or will soon experience the elevated approach to a one-stop destination of holistic health and wellness offerings that the brand is known for.
“We haven’t yet presented what Life Time is today to the Indianapolis area,” says Andrew McGovern, vice president of the Dynamic Personal Training brand and vice president of operations in Indiana and Ohio for Life Time. “Life Time Westfield will essentially help rebrand what Life Time is in the state of Indiana. This new club will be a premium destination — that ‘third place’ — for community and comprehensive health and wellness opportunities. We’ve intentionally built a team of the market’s most sought-after performers who are passionate about building relationships and helping people create generational health. We’re bringing something that members have long been waiting for.”
Bringing the Latest and Greatest to Life Time Westfield

Life Time Westfield is in the north suburbs of Indianapolis, sitting on the border of the cities of Westfield and Carmel. “Westfield and Carmel are communities that prioritize health, wellness, and an active lifestyle,” says Sam Lee, lead general for Life Time Westfield. “We’re excited to bring our full health and wellness ecosystem to the market, creating a destination where members can access industry-leading programs, expert coaching, recovery, nutrition, and hospitality, all under one roof.”
Not only will Life Time Westfield have offerings that align with community needs, but it will also broaden the Life Time network within the Indianapolis area. Life Time Fishers and Life Time Castle Creek are within about 13 miles of the new club, and having a membership at Life Time Westfield will also grant you access to the two other clubs.
“As members’ goals evolve, our network evolves with them, and we encourage our members to make full use of our ecosystem of Life Time clubs,” says McGovern. “Between the clubs, there may be different amenities, instructors, or schedules you want to leverage, so having access to three clubs within a short distance is a huge advantage for members. Members have the flexibility to choose the experiences that best support their journey. It helps us continue to meet them where they’re at so that healthy living can remain accessible.”
Adds Lee: “The Indianapolis market hasn’t yet experienced Life Time at its fullest expression. Life Time Westfield represents the highest standard of what our brand delivers and introduces a level of health, wellness, hospitality, and programming unlike anything we’ve brought to Indiana before. More than a new club, it’s a destination intentionally designed to create extraordinary experiences.”
Key features of Life Time Westfield include:
- A resort-style pool deck with a leisure pool and a five-lane lap pool, along with an outdoor bistro.
- A LifeCafe featuring a chef-curated menu that includes nutritious meals and protein shakes.
- A full hydrotherapy suite experience with a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and cold plunge.
- Four indoor pickleball courts, along with Intro to Pickleball lessons, league offerings, open play, and more.
- A Kids Academy for child care that’s included in Junior Memberships. It includes two kids’ gyms, an activity studio, a movement studio, an outdoor play area, an infant room, and a toddler area.
- An expansive workout floor with state-of-the-art equipment.
- A Life Time Work Club Lounge, an open-plan, community-style coworking space.
- Signature group training classes including Alpha, GTX, and Ultra Fit.
- Six dedicated fitness studios for Pilates, barre, yoga, CTR (“Core Tone Reform,” an athletic reformer workout), and other unique-to-Life-Time group fitness classes.
- Recovery tools for use in the LT Recovery zone, and more.
Revamping Life Time Fishers

In addition to bringing this new club in Indiana, Life Time continues to invest resources in maintaining its mature clubs as top-of-the-line health and wellness spaces. Earlier this year, Life Time Fishers underwent an extensive renovation that transformed the space and the member experience.
“Everything at Life Time Fishers is modern and up to date,” says McGovern. “The club now has industry-leading equipment and has been cosmetically refreshed to be more in line with Life Time’s premium look and feel.”
Life Time Fishers is a unique club in Life Time’s portfolio with its emphasis on the boutique fitness experience. “Life Time Fishers is the place to be for those seeking community fitness experiences and one-on-one coaching,” says McGovern.
Perhaps one of the biggest updates for the club was the integration of Life Time’s signature group training programs: GTX, Alpha, Ultra Fit, and HYBRID XT. The GTX studio is fully enclosed for an immersive experience. There is also a dedicated Alpha space which increased the club’s available power racks from two to 15. There is also a designated studio for CTR as well as a private Pilates studio for one-on-one training on the reformer.
GTX is a 50/50 blend of cardio and strength; Alpha is centered around Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning; Ultra Fit blends strength and stability work with sprint interval training; CTR is a high-energy athletic reformer class; and HYBRID XT simultaneously combines strength and conditioning work.
“We have the best talent in the market leading our classes,” says McGovern. “We’ve also assembled an industry-leading team of Dynamic Personal Trainers, Dynamic Stretch Specialists, instructors, and recovery experts because we believe people deserve more than a workout. Our trainers deliver uncompromising quality by integrating comprehensive exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle solutions into a fully customized coaching experience. Members receive the direction, education, accountability, and motivation needed to build healthier habits and achieve lasting results.”

Using the Indiana Network of Clubs
As a member at Life Time Westfield, you’ll have access to both Life Time Castle Creek and Life Time Fishers; if you’re a member at Life Time Fishers, you’ll also have access to Life Time Castle Creek. (As a member, you pay for access to a certain club, and you then automatically get access to other clubs with the same-priced dues and below.)
“By leveraging the Life Time network, you have more opportunities to reach your health and wellness goals,” says McGovern. “I want members at Life Time Fishers to understand this access is available to them, and for members at Life Time Castle Creek to know it’s something they can adjust their membership to take advantage of if they desire the use of the new offerings at Life Time Fishers.”
AJ Geiss, for instance, is a member in the Indianapolis area who lives five minutes from Life Time Fishers and about 15 minutes from Life Time Castle Creek. As a competitive swimmer and triathlon athlete, his priorities include being in the best condition for his sport while supporting a healthy-aging process.
“Being involved in three sports — swimming, cycling, and running — the things I want to do in my fitness and wellness routine can be varied,” says Geiss, 52. “By having access to both clubs, there’s an amenity available to me one way or the other. It’s about having that accessibility.”
Geiss’s training regimen is usually divided between strength training and training in the pool. This looks like working with his Dynamic Personal Trainer at Life Time Fishers on the workout floor and visiting Life Time Castle Creek to prepare for swim races and leverage the club’s pool, sauna, and cold plunge.
He commends both clubs for being excellent training environments. “They’re both clean facilities with nice and personable people who work there,” he says. “It makes it easy to wake up any morning and know whichever club I go to is going to be professional, well-organized, and accommodating.”
McGovern emphasizes the focus Life Time has on ensuring exceptional experiences across all club locations. “As a company, we have the highest standards of excellence when it comes to the teams that we cast for, how we teach and train our team members, and how we remain aligned to our mission to empower our members to pursue a healthier way of life,” he says. “Everything begins with our people and we hold ourselves to the highest standards because every interaction is an opportunity to positively impact someone’s life.”
He continues: “Whether you’re at Life Time Westfield, Life Time Fishers, or Life Time Castle Creek, you’ll be in an environment dedicated to helping you feel your best. Our commitment is simple: best people, best programs, best places. That’s how we fulfill our mission to empower people to live healthy, happy lives.”
