You can't taste the black beans — and won't miss the dairy or gluten — in these better-for-you brownies.

  • 2 tbs. flaxseeds
  • 6 tbs. water
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 4 scoops chocolate Life Time vegan protein powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 6 Medijool dates, pitted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Combine the flaxseed and water and let sit for five minutes.
STEP 2
Combine all of the ingredients in the base of a blender and blend until smooth.
STEP 3
Pour the mixture into an 8×8 baking dish. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until cooked through — the outer edge will be firm.
