The end of May marks the start of summer for many, and this year, Life Time is pulling out all the stops to make the seasonal transition a splashy affair for members.

The first-ever Life Time Yacht Club Social event is a daytime pool party taking place at athletic country clubs across the country between Thursday, May 23 through Monday, May 26, 2025. Here you can swing into summer like it’s the 1940s post-war era, paying homage to the rich maritime culture and nautical fashion of that time.

Select Life Time clubs are transforming their pool decks into oases with a modern twist. This adult-only event will feature live music, a custom food menu prepared by LifeCafe, handcrafted drinks (with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), poolside experiences, bottle service, live entertainment, and the chance to sample LTH Nutrition and LifeSpa products.

“The Yacht Club Social is the first of many new social events to come from Life Time,” says Art Johnson, senior manager of events and sponsorship marketing at Life Time. “We continue to emphasize social fitness and community as an integral piece of healthy living. We strive for our clubs to be a ‘third place’ for our members, and this is our maiden voyage — no pun intended! — so keep an eye out for more social fun at your club.”

And what’s a party without a theme to embrace? You’re encouraged to come dressed in your best 1940s vintage-inspired outfits or swimwear with seaworthy colors like navy, white, and gold. Dressing up, however, is optional.

“For those who love to dress up, be bold,” encourages Devin Samtani, lead general at Life Time Lakeshore-Irvine in Irvine, Calif., and visionary behind the Yacht Club Social event. “Don’t shy away from bringing the theme to life.”

As a Life Time member, you might have made connections on the workout floor or in studio spaces — this is a chance to take those relationships to a new, fun setting. “These social experiences are elevated and on par with how Life Time presents any other part of our brand: best-in-class and welcoming,” says Johnson.

Life Time members can register for the Yacht Club Social in the Events schedule in the Life Time app. You are also encouraged to bring friends (even if they are not members) through member guest passes. Reach out to your membership concierge team with any questions.

For those with kiddos, Life Time is hosting a Parents Night Out offering simultaneously. This special Yacht Club Social-themed event for kids takes place in the Kids Academy, so kids can celebrate the beginning of summer too (and parents can enjoy their time at the event without worrying about securing a babysitter).

“This is an opportunity for everyone to come together and create community,” says Samtani. “Let’s kick off summer together at Life Time.”

Specific event dates and times for the Yacht Club Social and Parents Night Out vary by club. Contact your club’s membership concierge team for any questions. If your club isn’t hosting the event but you’d like to attend at a nearby club that is, reach out to the membership concierge at that club to reserve your spot.
