Minnesota is getting an exciting addition to its portfolio of Life Time destinations in 2024: Life Time Chanhassen Pickleball. Located adjacent to the Life Time Chanhassen athletic country club, it’s a standalone, pickleball-only facility built from the ground up — the first of its kind to be offered from Life Time.
“I’m incredibly excited to show members and future members our commitment to and support of the sport of pickleball,” says RJ Singh, chief digital officer and leader of the racquet sports division at Life Time. “In addition to the beautiful spaces we’re building, I’m excited to continue offering our members the best pickleball programming.”
Let’s explore the 45,000-square-foot Life Time Chanhassen Pickleball space:
Upon entering the building, members will be greeted by a concierge member in the reception area. The main floor has designated men’s, women’s, and family locker rooms, a retail space, a lounge, and a self-serve drink station that offers beer, wine, and seltzers. There will also be pre-packaged food available, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other grab-and-go items.
Head upstairs to the mezzanine level for another lounge and self-serve drink area, as well as a perfect view of the eight indoor pickleball courts that members can play on all year.
When the weather permits, step outside for a game on one of the seven outdoor courts — or enjoy the lounge area. Each table features an umbrella so you have the option of shade on hot summer days.
“I’m excited for the community this space will encourage,” says Kirsten Coffey, lead general at Life Time Chanhassen. “Our pickleball players range from young kids to active, older adults — this sport is truly for everyone.”
The pickleball club’s convenient location just steps away from the Life Time Chanhassen athletic country club allows members to also access the offerings there too, such as group fitness classes, Dynamic Personal Training, the LifeSpa, LifeCafe, and more.
Another perk of the proximity is the ability to use the Kids Academy. Parents can drop off their kids (infants through age 12) for educational and movement-focused activities for up to 2.5 hours while they play pickleball at Life Time Chanhassen Pickleball.
Additionally, the premium membership level at Life Time Chanhassen Pickleball grants access to all athletic country clubs in Minnesota — opening the door to a plethora of offerings, amenities, and opportunities. “This membership isn’t just choosing pickleball — it’s about everything else that comes with it,” says Singh. “Life Time is an ecosystem, and I’m excited for members to experience all that Life Time has to offer.”
