Life Time is expanding in Burr Ridge, Ill.: Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet will open in January 2027, bringing an unparalleled racquet sport experience — alongside premier athletic country club amenities and programming — to the community.
Just 1.2 miles from the existing Life Time Burr Ridge club, this new sport- and racquet-facility will serve as a partner offering for Life Time Burr Ridge members. “The original club opened in 2002,” says Shahd Sweis, lead general for both Burr Ridge locations. “We see Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet as a way to give even more healthy-living opportunities to our loyal members, as well as to welcome in new members who want this dual club experience.”
Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet and Life Time Burr Ridge will operate as a one-club, two-campus location. Programming will be coordinated across the two destinations to avoid duplication and provide a well-rounded experience for members.
The new Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet will emphasize tennis, with eight outdoor and eight indoor courts. “We’ll continue to bring members premier tennis offerings like lessons, leagues, events, and more,” says Sweis. “This new club will also have an outdoor pool with a bistro and an event space where we’ll host community gatherings. It will also offer fitness programming, including popular Life Time class formats like CTR and HYBRID XT.”
She adds: “Together, these two clubs offer a full ecosystem of everything you need to go after your health and wellness goals. Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet will create a space in conjunction with the mature club that’s grander than anyone can fathom right now. We want our members to leverage this expansion and really feel the value of these two destinations.”
