In August 2022, Life Time opened its doors to another athletic country club, this time in downtown Palm Beach Gardens, joining the company’s other Florida destinations in Boca Raton, Coral Gables, and Tampa.

“This is a unique offering in the marketplace,” says Susan Mistri, senior general manager at Life Time Palm Beach Gardens. “There’s nothing quite like it in the standing community, especially when you look at the offerings for a healthy way of life for the entire family as well as for adults as they age.”

A welcome addition to an already lively area, Life Time is walking distance from The Gardens Mall, which features more than 160 specialty shops and restaurants, as well as a Whole Foods. It’s less than five miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

“For those who are new to Life Time in the community, we want them to be aware that Life Time is different than other fitness facilities — we offer so much more in terms of well-being, and most importantly, we’re a community,” says Mistri. “It’s our mission to deliver the best value, the best people, and the best programs.”

Life Time Palm Beach Gardens offers a seemingly endless array of services, amenities, and features across its 136,000-square-feet of space. Let’s explore this athletic country club:

Palm beach gardens fitness floor

Move with and be motivated by others in a group class in one of the exquisitely designed studio spaces. The club features two yoga studios with stress-reducing light and radiant heating, a cycle studio with concert-quality sound and lighting, and a Pilates studio equipped with reformers, towers, and mats, as well as a devoted barre studio and two other studios housing Life Time’s wide variety of proprietary class formats.

For your other fitness endeavors, venture onto the 30,000-square-foot workout floor and make use of the rows and rows of best-in-class cardio and strength-training machines, free weights, functional and advanced training areas, and stretching space. The floor is also where the company’s signature GTX and Alpha group training classes are held. Ultra Fit, another signature group training class, is held in its own designated studio space for the ultimate immersion.

LT Recovery is another dedicated space with expert direction and care to support your recovery and mobility efforts. “Here, members can experience Normatec compression therapy, hydromassage beds, and Hyperice vibration therapy for the ultimate post-exercise recovery,” says Brenna Bachety, membership concierge leader at Life Time Palm Beach Gardens. This area also offers metabolic testing and chiropractic services.

Palm beach gardens rooftop pool

“Our indoor lap pool offers six lanes of 82-degree bliss, complete with pace clocks, any time of the day or year,” says Bachety. “There’s also an indoor poolside whirlpool to enjoy, or you can take advantage of Florida’s weather and spend time at the rooftop pool and Beach Club.”

The rooftop deck is “unlike anything this area’s seen before,” Bachety adds. “From our poolside café with dedicated menu offerings to essentials including lounge chairs and towel service to luxuries like reservable cabanas, members will be drawn to this space to relax and to gather socially.”

You can also experience water workout classes, including ARORA Aqua, a low-to no-impact workout designed to build strength and cardio endurance with no underwater submergence required. (To learn more about ARORA and its breadth of fitness, social, and educational offerings, visit here.)

For other recreation opportunities, play the fastest growing sport in the country, pickleball, on one of the three dedicated indoor pickleball courts. “Pickleball is very popular in Florida, but there’s mostly only outdoor court options in the area, so it’s great we’re offering players an indoor option here,” says Mistri. This all-ages game is low-impact, super social, and easy to learn.

Freshen up from a sweat or swim in the executive locker rooms or family locker rooms. They include amenities such as fresh terrycloth towels, secured keyless lockers, premium toiletries, private dressings rooms with vanities, and private showers with complimentary bath products. You can also relax in the eucalyptus steam rooms and cedarwood saunas.

When hunger hits, grab a bowl, salad, or shake in the full-service, fast casual LifeCafe or enjoy a selection of rolls at the sushi bar.

You can also come to the LifeCafe for ARORA coffee club every Tuesday and Thursday to socialize over a cup of coffee with other ARORA community members.

Palm beach gardens lounge

There’s also a coffee bar and bar area for beverages any time of the day. “The coffee and bar lounge area is a comfortable place for members to unwind, whether they’re meeting a friend after a workout or looking for a place to work when they need a change of scenery,” explains Bachety. Make use of the complimentary Wi-Fi and enjoy your favorite espresso drink or glass of wine, cocktail, or local craft beer.

For a truly relaxing day, schedule some personal pampering with one of our highly trained LifeSpa stylists and estheticians, who offer skincare services including facials and massages, as well as manicures, pedicures, and haircuts, colors, and treatments.

Palm beach gardens kids academy

Let your kids discover healthy play in the Kids Academy, equipped with open play areas, a multi-level play maze, tumbling studio, kids’ gymnasium, learning lab, and an arts-and-crafts studio. There is also a dedicated infant room and toddler area.

“Our 8,000-square-foot Kids Academy has spaces dedicated by age and activity,” notes Bachety. “Some of the activities offered include dance, martial arts, gymnastics, tumbling, and even help with homework. There’s always something fun happening! In addition to up to two-and-a-half hours of care daily, also included in junior memberships are family events, themed kids and tween events, and Parents Night Out drop-off care events.”

How did you get started with Life Time?

I’m new to Life Time and started in January 2022. As a new team member, I am so impressed by the support and care from everyone around me — the culture of care really shines through here. I am so excited to share our healthy way of life mission with the community of Palm Beach Gardens.

What brought you to Life Time Palm Beach Gardens?

I chose Palm Beach Gardens because I love the community, the weather, and how people embrace a healthy way of life in this area. It’s also a bonus that I have family living nearby. This is a thriving community with fabulous dining, shopping, and tons of activities. Families of all ages are moving to here; it’s truly a place where anyone can feel at home.

What’s your connection to Life Time’s healthy way of life mission?

I believe in living a healthy way of life because taking care of my mind and body means I can live my best life. I incorporate this into my daily life by exploring new classes at Life Time and taking time to recover through yoga or spa time. I absolutely love the classes offered here. My favorites are the cycle formats and Gluteus Maxout.

How did you get started with Life Time?

I started working at Life Time in July 2020. I was a part of the grand-opening team at Life Time Northshore in Peabody, Mass., working as a kids and fitness instructor leading gymnastics classes for juniors. I instantly fell in love with the company and the mission, and I immediately realized the impact Life Time had on not only myself, but my two children as well. It did not take long for me to decide that I wanted to grow with the company.

What brought you to Life Time Palm Beach Gardens?

Deciding to move my family 1,500 miles took some serious thought, but I feel so fortunate to have the chance to work at this specific Life Time location with such an incredible team. The pace in this town is just different, but in the best way. And of course, the weather is beautiful. I have loved everything about this wonderful community so far — and I still have a great deal of exploring to do!

There really is nothing like Life Time Palm Beach Gardens. From three months to 100 years, every single person who steps in the door will feel welcomed and a sense of belonging. We strive to help our members nourish their minds and bodies and be inspired to be the best versions of themselves, all within a welcoming community and luxury resort setting. On top of all the best-in-class offerings that Life Time has, we also have a fantastic team here who will truly make the experience unforgettable.

What’s your connection to Life Time’s healthy way of life mission?

I believe that we all deserve to live a healthy way of life, however that may look for the individual. We all only have one body, and it does so much for us. If we positively fuel our minds, bodies, and souls, then our overall health will improve.

A healthy way of life is about more than getting a workout in; it’s about all the beautiful ways it impacts all aspects of your life. I’m grateful that I’m able to inspire our junior members to live a healthy way of life in my everyday work. Through our comprehensive education and fun kids programming, we deliver exceptional and healthy experiences that motivate our juniors to carry out those healthy habits every day.

How did you get started with Life Time?

I joined Life Time Boca Raton in August 2019 as a member, and then joined as a team member and personal trainer in December 2019. Life Time feels like a second home and has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.

What brought you to Life Time Palm Beach Gardens?

When I learned about the new Palm Beach Gardens location, I knew there was nothing like Life Time in the area, and I wanted to be a part of this project. Being able to impact and bring a healthy way of life to a new community sounded exciting and very fulfilling.

At Life Time Palm Beach Gardens, members will be able to find everything they need to live a healthy life — all in one place. It will bring a new experience for the whole family, meeting the health and wellness needs of every age group.

What’s your connection to Life Time’s healthy way of life mission?

In 2013, I was diagnosed with Lupus, and ever since then I have made many changes to my lifestyle to stay healthy and live longer. I want to be able to share my experiences to help others live a healthier life — that is something I’m passionate about. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work for a company that encourages their members, and their team members, to live happier and healthier lives.
