Protein Pancakes
Want to start your morning with a short stack? Using protein in these pancakes means they'll satisfy without a blood sugar spike and crash.
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 scoop vanilla Life Time whey isolate protein powder
- 2 tbs. coconut flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions
STEP 1
Mix all of the ingredients together along with any desired add ins, such as a 1/2 cup of strawberries or raspberries. Spray a skillet with coconut oil spray.
STEP 2
Pour the pancake mix onto the skillet in your desired pancake size. Fry on medium heat until the pancakes are thoroughly cooked, about two to four minutes per side. You should end up with two big pancakes or four small pancakes — amount varies slightly based on your desired size.
