Whether you’re donating your time, resources, or other gifts, giving back is individually rewarding — and that feeling is often amplified when you do it alongside others. Life Time is leaning into that sentiment with a new weeklong event: Life Time Community Week.
Running October 11–17, 2026, Life Time Community Week aims to unite Life Time clubs across the country in serving their communities in their own unique ways. Each club will choose a cause that’s meaningful to their local community and host activities or events members can participate in and support. While the causes may differ club to club, the greater Life Time community will be united in its efforts to give back.
Life Time Community Week is driven by the Life Time Foundation, Life Time’s nonprofit arm that focuses its work on three pillars: youth nutrition, youth movement, and a healthy planet.
Life Time is also introducing a new signature movement experience: Unite the Night. Held in clubs across the country one night during the week, this fun fitness event (think glow-in-the-dark elements!) will celebrate the sense of community members feel throughout the week. (More details below!)
“Life Time members have this special drive for health and wellness, and it’s often important to them to feel part of something bigger,” says Sarah Emola, executive director of the Life Time Foundation and the company’s environmental, social, and governance programs. “With the inaugural Life Time Community Week, we hope to grant our members a sense of community as well as gratitude for being able to give back and feel connected with others. It’s a natural extension of what we already do: Move together and build something that extends beyond the four walls of the club.”
How It Works
During the week of October 11–17, all participating clubs will feature unique activities or experiences selected by the club’s leadership to support a cause that resonates with local members and the community overall.
“The leaders at our clubs are ingrained in their communities and rather than picking one single cause for all, we wanted to design this event so they had the opportunity to choose and directly impact the organizations they believe will make a positive difference for their neighbors,” says Emola.
Here are some examples of what a few clubs are planning to feature during Life Time Community Week.
Life Time Winter Park
Life Time in Winter Park, Fla., is partnering with All Kids Bike, a national organization that provides bikes to kids and teaches them how to ride in their kindergarten physical education classes. The cause became near and dear to Kayla Counts, Life Time Winter Park’s lead general, when she led another Life Time club in Michigan.
“There are not many opportunities where you’re getting to bring in the surprise and delight of unveiling new bikes to kids,” says Counts. “We’re presenting these children with the chance to learn and grow a lifelong skill. We have to invest in our youth — every child deserves the opportunity to move their bodies in healthy, intentional ways.”
Life Time Winter Park will offer several activities and experiences throughout the week that support All Kids Bike. The team is also planning a few other give-back initiatives, including a food drive for a local pantry, a nutrition seminar for junior members, a botanical garden clean-up, and more.
Life Time Fort Washington
Life Time in Fort Washington, Pa., is partnering with Girls on the Run, a nonprofit that provides youth programming dedicated to encouraging movement for girls in grades three through eight. “The mission of Girls on the Run is about empowering young girls with programs that build confidence and teamwork,” says Rob Murphy, lead general at Life Time Fort Washington.
This partnership also gives the club’s female leaders an opportunity to be positive role models, according to Ian Blackman, facility operations lead at Life Time Fort Washington. “The female leaders at this club are strong, independent, and community-oriented,” he says. “This is a good opportunity to expose younger girls to these amazing women.”
During Life Time Community Week, Life Time Fort Washington will hold a wellness adventure day for girls in elementary and middle school, including a short local run, educational nutrition sessions, and recovery and strength sessions led by female instructors.
“It’s all about exposing these junior members to different avenues that can inspire self-respect, confidence, and healthy living,” says Murphy.
Life Time Shenandoah
Life Time in Shenandoah, Texas, will partner with Kids’ Meals, an organization focused on ending childhood hunger by delivering free, healthy meals to preschool-aged children in the greater Houston area. It also provides resources to families with the goal of ending the cycle of poverty.
“My goal this year was to get outside the four walls of the club and be more involved with the community,” says Amy Cieutat, events coordinator for Life Time Shenandoah. “Life Time Community Week, along with this partnership with Kids’ Meals, lets us do that.”
During the week-long event, members will be invited to decorate brown lunch bags, which will be donated, filled with food, and delivered to kids in the surrounding areas. There will also be a donation box for food items that will go into the bags.
“We’re very family oriented at Life Time Shenandoah,” Cieutat adds. “Our club has a huge family demographic, so there are kids constantly running around everywhere. Being able to give back to the kids of the community is something that strikes very close to our hearts. We feel privileged that we can provide the platform to help our members help somebody else.”
If you’re interested in learning about your club’s chosen cause and participating in your local Life Time Community Week events, you can find more information in the Life Time app or talk to your club’s concierge team.
If you can’t participate in person but still want to make an impact, you can donate to the Life Time Foundation’s nationwide efforts. From September 28 to October 17, all donations to the foundation will be matched by Life Time.
Uniting in Movement
This glow party is back and better than ever, with a new name and a great cause: Ignite the Night is now Unite the Night, and will be hosted on one night during Life Time Community Week. This updated signature event will feature your favorite classes and performers in studio spaces that are transformed into nightclubs with black lights, glow sticks, and high-energy music.
“Unite the Night brings a dedicated moment of connection and celebration to Life Time Community Week, giving clubs a chance to come together through movement, energy, and shared purpose,” says Payton Erickson, marketing specialist for Life Time Foundation. “The event builds on our former signature class, Ignite the Night, with a new name and renewed focus that reflects the spirit of Life Time Community Week: getting together, building connection and giving back.”
This is a complimentary event for members, so members can unite in movement for a good cause. If you’re interested in attending Unite the Night, you can find more information and reserve your spot in the Life Time app: clubs in the U.S. and clubs in Canada.
