Meditation, strength training, mobility work, connecting the mind-body — each has a place in our wellness routines. But with the limited time many of us have, it can be hard to actually put them into practice and reap all the benefits.

That’s why Jessie Syfko, CSCS, RYT, senior vice president of digital at Life Time, created MB360, a mind-body program that combines meditation and mobility work with functional strength and conditioning exercises — all in a high-energy format.

“You could spend an entire day doing your meditation, and then your yoga, and then your strength training — all things we know make us feel better — but that takes up so much time,” says Syfko. “What if we could do it all in one experience together?”

What Is MB360?

One of Life Time’s signature group training classes, MB360 is a mind-body training practice designed with a different area of focus each day, Monday through Saturday, with Sunday as a rest day.

“MB360 is exactly what it sounds like,” says Austin Head, elite instructor at Life Time in New York City. “It’s a full 360-degree approach to training your mind and your body. It’s not just about sweating or lifting heavy, it’s about moving better, feeling stronger, and building real, sustainable fitness. You’re getting strength, cardio, mobility, and recovery all wrapped into one intentional program. Every class has a purpose, and all the movements connect for our greater well-being.”

To learn more about what to expect in an MB360 class and how to integrate the programming into a healthy-living routine, we asked Head to answer some common questions.

Life Time | Can you talk about the benefits of mind-body fitness? What can I expect to get out of this program?

Austin Head | Mind-body fitness is where everything starts to click. Instead of simply going through the motions of a workout or a fitness class, in MB360, we teach you to be fully connected to what you’re doing — to really be in the moment, connecting your mind to your movement. This can lead to better form and better movement control, which can result in fewer injuries and feeling better overall.

MB360 is a high-energy class where mental and physical performance meet as one, and the music drives the experience. You’ll leave feeling joyful, stronger, more mobile, and more energized. It’s the perfect balance of pushing hard and challenging yourself while still taking care of your body.

Additionally, MB360 isn’t just a workout — it’s a community. In class, you’re surrounded by people who are all showing up to get better, and that energy is contagious. Combine that with smart programming and real coaching, and it’s a game-changer. I love MB360 because I’ve seen firsthand how it makes people feel strong, confident, and capable. And that’s what it’s all about!

LT | Can you explain the philosophy behind the different areas of focus for each day of the week?

AH | There’s a method to the MB360 madness! Each day is designed to focus on something specific, whether that’s strength, conditioning, or endurance, so your body can train hard and recover properly. If you’re following the program, the intention is that you attend each day of the week, but you’re also welcome to jump into a class anytime.

  • Monday: Total-body conditioning
  • Tuesday: Lower-body strength
  • Wednesday: Total-body conditioning
  • Thursday: Upper-body and core-strength
  • Friday: Contrast Tabata
  • Saturday: Endurance

LT | What equipment can you expect to use in a typical MB360 class?

AH | We use a mix of equipment, including dumbbells, resistance bands, and yoga blocks. You also use your own bodyweight and have the option of wearing your own weighted vest for added challenge. You won’t see anything overly complicated, and everything is used with intention. It’s not about the equipment itself; it’s about how we use it to move well and get results.

LT | Although you’re in a group setting, are instructors able to help modify for members who may need adjustments during class?

AH | 100 percent. We always say, “Move with integrity,” and intensity is built with integrity. Whether you’re brand new or more advanced, we meet you where you are. You’re never just another person in the room — we’re coaching and encouraging you to do what’s best for you.

LT | I’m interested in trying MB360. What advice do you have for my first class?

AH | Just show up! That’s the hardest part. Don’t overthink it. Let your instructor know you’re new so they can welcome you, coach you, and answer any questions you may have. We often say it takes 10 classes to get the full experience, so come in with an open mind and commit to 10 classes.

Most importantly, enjoy it. If you’re having fun, you’ll stick with it.
