Three healthy kids meals

Between finicky eaters, limited options, and busy lifestyles, it’s not always easy to make the best choices when it comes to feeding your kids. The LifeCafe is aiming to change that with the launch of several new kids’ menu items.

“We want parents to feel good about not only what they eat, but what they’re feeding their kids,” says Ryan Dodge, LifeCafe’s executive chef. “Kids can learn about healthy choices at Life Time and our kids’ menu should add to that experience. These new meals align with the mission of our Life Time Foundation and provide bright, colorful, whole-food options that both kids and parents will love.”

All LifeCafe menu offerings are free of the Harmful 7 ingredients — often found in processed, prepackaged foods — and these new, chef-crafted kids meals are no exception. They’re also free of ingredients that cause allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities, such as gluten and dairy.

NEW MENU ITEMS

The Foundation

This dish was inspired by Life Time Foundation’s mission to transform school lunches, aiming for an ideal nutrient balance. It’s a vibrant plate comprised of grilled chicken, diced sweet potatoes, and broccoli florets.

Why kids love it: It’s finger food at its finest. Bite-size pieces are easy to pick up and enjoyable to eat.

Why parents love it: These real, whole foods — which offer a healthy dose of protein and slow-digesting fiber — will keep kids full longer and provide the energy they need throughout the day.

Fiesta Bowl

The LifeCafe menu has plenty of bowl options for adults, and now kids can enjoy their own. This mini burrito bowl is a delicious combination of brown rice, black beans, tomato, and avocado.

Why kids love it: Featuring a mix of colorful ingredients, this meal feels like a party in a bowl.

Why parents love it: This grab-and-go meal offers a healthy balance of macronutrients — complex carbs, plant-based protein, and healthy fats — so all the essentials are covered.

Zoodlez

This entrée puts a healthy twist on a classic kids’ menu item. Spiraled zucchini noodles topped with tomatoes and a tasty marinara sauce create a fresh, yummy dish.

Why kids love it: Not only is it fun to say, but it’s also fun to eat.

Why parents love it: Zucchini noodles are a simple way to sneak some extra veggies into your children’s diet and to avoid gluten, which is in many storebought pastas.

The new kids’ menu is now available in the LifeCafe. Check out the new options at my.lifetime.life.
